Newly Opened School Rings Bell for Inaugural Classes as Students Embark on Learning Journey

Bhubaneswar, 3rd Aug : A splendid welcome ceremony ushered in the students of the 2023-24 academic year at Bhima Bhoi Government vocational Higher Secondary School for visually impaired and Bipin Bihari Chowdhury Government vocational Higher Secondary School for the hearing impaired in Bhubaneswar. The event graced by esteemed dignitaries and officials, symbolized the commencement of a new educational journey for the young learners.

Dr. Sanatan Panda, Joint Director of the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, attended the event as an honored guest. The ceremony also witnessed the presence of Khurda District Education Officer, Mr. Biswanath Tarai, Bhubaneswar Block Education Officer Dr. Pragyaparamita Jena, and School Management Committee President, Ms. Jayashree Sahu.

Radiant flowers and fragrant sandalwood adorned the newly enrolled students, as their parents joined in celebrating this momentous occasion. The inauguration of class 11th for visually impaired students marked a historic milestone in the state’s education landscape, evoking a sense of joy among parents.

Inspirational speeches from the guests ignited a sense of purpose in the students, motivating them to pursue their aspirations with dedication. Similar jubilation reverberated at Bipin Bihari Chowdhury Government Vocational Higher Secondary School for hearing impaired, where Acting Chairman Pramod Kumar Mishra presided as the chief guest. The event was graced by Shri Sanatan Panda, Joint Director Higher Secondary Education, District Education Officer Shri Vishwanath Tarai, Block Education Officer Dr. Pragyan Paramita Jena, and Shri Shiladitya Choudhury, son of Bipin Bihari Choudhury.

The commencement of class 11th saw fresh students being welcomed with flowers and sandalwood, accompanied by warm greetings extended to the newly appointed guest lecturers. The guests encouraged the lecturers to propel the institution towards becoming a prominent higher secondary school within the state.

Parents present at the event expressed their delight at the initiation of the teaching program. Among the 28 students enrolled in the higher secondary school, a significant turnout of 20 students marked the successful launch of this academic endeavor.

This significant occasion follows the recent conversion of Odisha’s two esteemed special schools into higher secondary schools, a remarkable feat achieved by the state government. The Hon’ble Chief Minister inaugurated these schools on July 3rd, reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusive and quality education.

The event was orchestrated seamlessly by the chairpersons of both schools, with unwavering support from dedicated teachers and staff who share the vision of empowering young minds through education.
