‘Nouka Vihar’ inaugurated at IG park of Rourkela Steel Plant adding to the visitors’ delight

Rourkela,(Basanta kumar Jena):- Adding to the attractions of IG park of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a renovated boating facility ‘Nouka Vihar’ was inaugurated by Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge, RSP on 30th March 2023. Mr. S R Suryawanshi, ED (Works), Mr. P K Satapathy, ED (P&A), Mr. P K Sahoo, ED (Projects), Dr. B K Hota, ED (M&HS), Mr. P K Rath, CGM In-Charge (Mines), Mr. A K Behuria, CGM In-Charge (F&A), Mr. Ajaya Kumar Nayak, CGM In Charge(TA& CSR) and many other CGMs and HODs of RSP, were also present on the occasion.

The boating complex has been given a complete facelift with dredging and desilting of the Pond after complete drying, fixing of pebble blocks along with the embankment, provision of guarding wall, installation of chairs and lighting systems and several other new features. Adequate safety measures have been put in place for the people enjoying the boat rides.

The dignitaries went around the park, took a joy ride in the toy train and many also enjoyed boat rides.
