Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice): Principal secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh reviewed the progress of various developmental schemes and  projects under the Rural Development Department . presided over the  meeting held at department  Oswan Hall  in the Lok Seva Bhavan on Wednesday, Sri Singh said that  department is paying special attention to the pension case, promotion and disciplinary process of the departmental staff and officers.  Officials need to be careful that no one is neglected or deprived of this opportunity. The department should give priority for timely payment of pension and olution of departmental disciplinary proceedings.
      Similarly, he expressed that the department must focus on the immediate resolution of all complaints related to the department coming from the C. M. Grievance Cell. Data must be recorded under Mo Sarkar.  While reviewing the various projects of the Rural Development Department, Mr. Singh said that the department has handed over adequate funds to all the circles in the fields.  Therefore, it is the prime responsibility of the authority concerned to complete all the construction work in a timely manner and within the stipulated time.  All the officers of the department should be careful in this regard.

Similarly, Mr. Singh directed that the ongoing projects under the RIDF scheme should be completed on time and the PCR and pending DPR in the road and bridge sector should be submitted  by 15th November this month . In the month of October, 60 percent of the departmental budget was given to the divisions, while this month it has been increased to 70 percent.  Mr. Singh directed the departmental officers to spend 70% of the budget and each circle has to spend at least 20 crore rupees by the end of November.  It also asked to complete the pending tender process with 100 percent administrative approval. Similarly, the departmental engineers were instructed  to inquire about the progress of the ongoing project  under BSY and to complete the approach roads on time.  Mr. Singh advised to finalize the remaining DPR of all projects taken up in FY 2022-23 and 2023-24 to complete the tender process at the earliest .

In the meeting, emphasis was placed on completing the incomplete work under the Biju Setu Yojana in a timely manner.  Mr. Singh said that the ongoing projects under the Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yojana should be completed on a priority basis and the projects that were incomplete before 2021-22 should be completed by next December.  In addition, he asked to complete all project processes with 100 percent administrative approval in the financial years 2022-23 and 2023-24. 
The Principal Secretary suggested signing agreement with the concerned agencies for the periodical maintenance of the roads completed under the PMGSY and proceed with the work.  Mr. Singh told the officials that it is mandatory to put up scheme boards and project boards at all the ongoing projects.
In the meeting, the  PMGSY, MMSY, roads and buildings, all schemes of the Rural Development Department and Chief Minister’s Grievance Hearing were discussed.  Principal Secretary Mr. Singh inquired about the progress and current status of all the above programs from all the officers of each circle and division.  The meeting was attended by senior officers of the department including Mr. Arvind Agarwal, Director, Rural Development Department, Mr. Sudarshan Parida, Special  Secretary, EIC Mr. Akshay Kumar Pradhan, EIC Mr. Jeevananda Naik and others.
