Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice): Further strengthening preparedness against COVID19, Chief Minister Naveen Pattanayak has inaugurated a Plasma Bank at SLN MCH, Koraput. It is the sixth Plasma bank established by the government of Odisha with a commitment to save the life of the people from the deadly virus.

Inaugurating the plasma bank CM Sri Pattanaik said “Plasma treatment has been successful in the state. More and more COVID patients are recovering from COVID. The plasma bank inaugurated in Koraput will not only set a new milestone but also strengthen the faith of tribal communities on the advanced medical procedure. CM said plasma will be more easily available & accessible to all needy #COVID19 patients in Odisha. CM said this is in line with Govt’s vision of enabling access to advanced healthcare for all & commitment to ensure nobody is deprived of advanced healthcare facilities.” Citing that plasma is showing good results in patients, CM reiterated his appeal to all eligible COVID survivors to come forward to donate plasma to save precious lives. CM said each donor is recognized as a worthy citizen of Odisha.

Attending the inaugural function, Health Minister Shri Nab Das and Minister for Handlooms and Textiles Padmini Dian said that the establishment of a plasma bank in Koraput would benefit the COVID patients in southern Odisha.
Mr. Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Health, delivered the welcome address and the District Magistrate. gave the vote of thanks . A video of Plasma Bank was shown and the Chief Minister spoke to a Plasma donor and thanked him for his generosity. Minister Shri Jagannath Sarka, Nabarangpur MP Shri Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Jaipur MLA Shri Taraprasad Bahinipati and Koraput MLA Shri Raghuram Padal
Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathi, Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary and Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena were present during this virtual inauguration . Chief Minister’s Secretary (5T) Shri V.K. Pandian conducted the program.
