Brahmapur: Aiming to provide practical skills, employment and livelihood opportunities for women and youth, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) inaugurated a Vocational Training Centre (VTC) at Narayanpur in Ganjam district. The centre was formally inaugurated by TPSODL CEO Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, along with senior officials of the company.
The centre has enrolled more than 120 women and young beneficiaries for training in beautician services, computer skills and tailoring. The courses have been designed to improve employability and provide participants with skills that can support employment, self-employment and small livelihood activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO, TPSODL, said, “At TPSODL, we believe our role goes beyond supplying electricity. We are committed to contributing to the well-being and development of the consumer communities we serve. By providing practical and job-oriented skills, we hope to help women and youth improve their employability, explore livelihood opportunities and become more self-reliant. Such initiatives can also contribute to the socio-economic growth of families and communities.”
Through this initiative, TPSODL’s CSR team aims to support the consumer community by creating opportunities for skill development and sustainable livelihoods. By strengthening employability and encouraging self-employment, the initiative seeks to contribute to the economic well-being of families and the wider community.
