Launches Tata Sustainability Month
Berhampur, June: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) celebrated World Environment Day with a plantation drive at the JN Tata Technical Institute, Gopalpur. More than 120 employees participated in the initiative, with senior management leading the effort and encouraging collective action towards a greener future.
The occasion also marked the launch of Tata Sustainability Month 2026, themed “Thinking is Good, Doing is Better.” The theme encourages employees to move beyond ideas and adopt sustainable practices through meaningful everyday actions.
World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5, serves as a global call for environmental protection. This year’s theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” highlights the urgent need for climate action. TPSODL’s plantation drive and sustainability initiatives reflect the company’s commitment to supporting this global movement.
As part of Tata Sustainability Month, TPSODL will organise a series of activities, including plastic awareness sessions, beach-cleaning drives, and other environmental initiatives. These programmes aim to promote sustainable practices among employees and local communities while reinforcing the Tata Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and ethical governance.
The plantation drive was also carried out across multiple TPSODL locations, with employees actively participating and taking ownership of the initiative.
