Students Urged to Plant More Trees for Environmental Conservation
Jharsuguda, 07/07/2026: Van Mahotsav Week was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal at DAV Public School, Jharsuguda. The programme was held under the chairmanship of the Principal, Mr. Laxmi kanta Debta, with emphasis on environmental conservation, tree plantation, and the importance of creating a greener and healthier environment.
On this occasion, Dr. T. K. Das, Dr. R. K. Joshi, Dr. Babita Ramani, and the Principal, Mr. Laxmi kanta Debta, along with students of the school’s NCC, Junior Red Cross, and Scout & Guide units, jointly planted saplings of various species across the school campus.
During the programme, everyone was encouraged to plant more trees for the protection of the environment and to take proper care of the saplings after plantation. Teachers, staff members, and students actively participated in the event and spread the message of environmental awareness and conservation. At the conclusion of the programme, all participants took a pledge to serve as “Green Ambassadors” and contribute at their individual levels towards building a clean, green, and sustainable environment. The event was successfully coordinated with the support of the school’s Eco Club teachers, Debadatta Mishra and Nikhita Gartia.
