Jharsuguda and Laikera Diagnostic Centres Conducts 20000+Medical Tests
Jharsuguda: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, has played a pivotal role in facilitating over 20,000 + medical tests at its state-of-the-art diagnostic centres in Jharsuguda and Laikera. Since their establishment in August 2023, these advanced centres have become a cornerstone in providing an extensive array of healthcare services, encompassing criticalhealth screening and pathology tests, as well as cutting-edge MRI and CT scanning facilities. Consequently, these initiatives have substantially elevated the standard of healthcare delivery and diagnostic capabilities within the region.
With an investment of 36 crores, these centres have been providing vital healthcare accessibility in the regions of Jharsuguda and Laikera, catering to the needs of the local communities. The Diagnostic Centres, constructed on 0.74 acres in Jharsuguda and 0.5 acres in Laikera, boast state-of-the-art infrastructure across a built-up area of 10,000 sq ft and 5000 sq ft, respectively.
The centres provide a comprehensive range of Pathology services including ECG and X-ray. The MRI and CT facilities specifically established at the Jharsuguda contribute to improved healthcare delivery and diagnosis in these regions. These Diagnostic Centres offer services at nominal charges, aligned with the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) rates, with operations running round the clock for laboratory services and from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for radiology services.
Most recently members of the Western Odisha and Jharsuguda Senior Citizen Associations led by their PresidentsProf. Tahlu Sahu and Mr. Balgovind Mishraavailed the medical services firsthand. During their visit, the members were also guided through a comprehensive tour of the infrastructure and briefed on the cutting-edge health screening facilities.Acknowledging the facilities, the association members agreedto undergo their annual routine health check-ups at the Diagnostic Centres, with services offered at rates in alignment with the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) and the State Government’s Nidaan Scheme.
