Rally, Sand Art Display and Webinar by SSEPD Department

Bhubaneswar,(Kalinga Voice): Autism affected people should be given all sorts of assistance and empathy to overcome their overall cognitive, emotional, social and physical health in order to bring them into mainstream, said Sri Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disability (SSEPD). Sri Panda flagged off an awareness rally organized by SSEPD Department here at Ram Mandir Square today morning. He said that we have to work to develop the communication and relationship behaviour of those people. Emphasizing on this year’s theme  “Inclusion in the Workplace” declared by United Nations, Sri Panda said, we have to impart proper training, learning atmosphere and working behaviour for the people with autism.

Students, teachers and guardians participated in the rally with placards. Students from CATCH, Open Learning System, Chetana Institute, State Institute for Empowerment of PwDs, Institute of Health Science and other special schools took part in the rally. Sri Ananta Narayan jena, MLA, Smt. Sulochana Das, Mayor, BMC, Sri Bhaskarjyoti Sharma, Secretary, SSEPD Department and Smt. Bratati Harichandan, Director, SSEPD along with other officers were also present on the occasion.

Sand art by Subala Maharana was displayed in Toshali Mela at Janata Maidan with awareness objective also. An Webinar was organized by the Department in which speakers presented their points of view on the theme of the year.
