Bhubaneswar : Voluntary blood donation camps were organized all over the state by Odisha-Mo Parivar- Jeevan Bindu on dates ranging from 14th to 17th October on the occasion of the birthday of CM Shri Naveen Patnaik falling on 16th October. It is gratifying to note that an all-time record of blood collection of 17785 units was achieved on a single day on the 16th of October. The collection were made from 112 centers and in some places the blood collection went on till midnight.
On behalf of the Chief Minister, Odisha-Mo Parivar wishes to express its gratitude to all the donors, the doctors, the medical staffs, the employees of blood banks and Red Cross etc. not to mention the mammoth effort put in by the elected representatives and all stakeholders who have contributed to achieve this historic milestone.
