Burla, 05 November 2026: TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has for the first time, introduced the Jeevan Pramaan digital life certificate facility for pensioners of the WESCO Employees’ Pension Fund Trust. The initiative enables Aadhaar-based digital submission of life certificates, replacing the traditional physical process with a more convenient and accessible alternative.
The Trust has been successfully registered on the NIC’s Jeevan Pramaan portal, enabling retired employees and family pensioners to generate and submit Aadhaar-based Digital Life Certificates (DLC) every November without physically appearing before their respective Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs).
Pensioners can generate their digital life certificates through nearby Citizen Service Centres (CSCs) or by using the Jeevan Pramaan and AadhaarFaceRD applications on Android smartphones. They must have an Aadhaar number linked to an active mobile number and select “WESCO EMPLOYEES PENSION FUND TRUST” as their Pension Disbursing Agency.
To ensure a smooth transition, TPWODL’s unit DDOs will assist pensioners with portal registration and digital certificate generation. Pensioners who are unable to access or use the digital facility can continue to submit physical life certificates by appearing before their respective DDOs in November, as per the existing practice.
By combining digital convenience with local assistance and retaining the physical submission option, TPWODL is taking a pensioner-centric approach to modernising services while ensuring that no pensioner is left behind.
