Dalmia Private Industrial Training Institute in Rajgangpur Secures 2nd Rank in National Grading

Bhubaneswar: Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), one of India’s leading cement companiesis proud to announce that its Dalmia Private Industrial Training Institute (DITI) in Rajgangpur, Odisha has secured second rank in the prestigious All-India Grading of Industrial Training Institutions for the 2024-25 academic session. This ranking, bestowed by Directorate General of Training, New Delhi, under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship recognizes the ITI’s stellar grading score of 9.5 out of 10, reflecting the institute’s commitment to excellence in skill development among unemployed youth.In a remarkable achievement,18% of the candidates who enrolled at Rajgangpur centre were female, while 84.7% came from a Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 4.1% from Schedule Caste (SC) background. The centre also achieved 71 % record placement for its candidates.

Dalmia Private ITI (DITI) aims to enhance the national skilled workforce. Their mission is to provide quality technical education and standardize training methods to meet industrial needs and expectation. The institute offers long duration ITI certificate courses in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Welder, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant and Solar Technician (Electrical).DCBL has two centres located in Dalmiapuram, Tamil Nadu and Rajgangpur, Odisha respectively.

The grading system, a data-driven methodology mandated for all ITIs since the 2017-18 session, saw participation from 14,999 institutes. Dalmia Private ITI’s impressive ranking is a result of its consistent performance across last two academic years (2022-23 and 2023-24), evaluated on critical parameters like: admission rates, female enrolment, passing rates, active participation in Computer-Based Tests (CBT), average marks percentage of last year trainees appeared in Computer Based Test (CBT), trade diversity, engagement in the dual system of training and participation of candidates from SC/ST/PWD backgrounds.
