UAIL Mobile Health Team Reaches Remote Munushapadar Village

Kashipur,: A mobile health team from Utkal Alumina International Limited (UAIL), a unit of Hindalco Industries Limited, under the Aditya Birla Group, reached the remote village Munushapadar under Dongasil Panchayat in Kashipur block, Rayagada district, following reports of a skin disease in the area. The team conducted on the spot medical examinations and distributed necessary medicines to the affected villagers, particularly women and children.

The initiative was undertaken under the guidance of Ms. Lopamudra Mishra, FH, CSR, and direct supervision of Mr. Diganta Mahanty, Plant CSR Head. Upon receiving information about the incident, the CSR department swiftly mobilized the mobile health unit equipped with essential medicines and diagnostic tools. The team trekked nearly 4 km through hilly terrain, forests, and streams to reach the village.

Led by Dr. Debabrata Raut, the mobile health team included Santosh Kumar Sahu, Subash Jhodia, Mahendra Paik, Jitendra Nayak, and Pharmacist Chinmaya Kumar Bishoyi. They carried out medical examinations, provided immediate treatment, and distributed required medicines.

In addition to medical support, the team conducted an awareness drive in the village, educating residents on the importance of using clean drinking water and maintaining hygienic surroundings to prevent the spread of infections. CSR officers Satyabhama Naik, Mohini Naik, Susmita Kosla, and Hemalata extended their support during the program.

This initiative is part of UAIL’s ongoing efforts to ensure accessible healthcare in remote tribal regions and to promote community well-being through proactive CSR interventions.
