Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice) : Biju Janata Dal has appointed senior leader Shri Pratap Keshari Dev, MLA as the Election Observer of Biju Janata Dal for Pipli Assembly Constituency, informed BJD General Secretary (Media Affairs) Manas Ranjan Mangaraj in a press release today .
After the sad demise of the former Minister Pradeep Maharathy, the seat has fallen vacant. As the byelection for in Pipili constituency is approaching and the election date can be declared at any time, BJD has started the process of selection of candidates. There is speculation that either wife or son of Late Sri Maharathy may get a party ticket, but few other names come into the discussion. The names of Odisha Mo Parivar Convenor Arup Pattanaik and Odisha child Right Protection Commissioner Sandhyabati Pradhan are also in the air .
