NTPC Bongaigaon Brings Art, Pledges and Rural Sports Together for Swachhata Hi Seva 2026
Kokrajhar: From wall murals spreading messages of cleanliness to rural playing fields bringing communities together, NTPC Bongaigaon is promoting public participation in Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 through activities involving employees, schoolchildren and rural youth. More than 300 people from NTPC Bongaigaon and neighbouring communities have participated in the campaign’s activities.
Centred on the theme “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag; Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat,” the initiatives encourage people to make cleanliness a shared responsibility, taking the campaign’s message beyond the workplace into schools, homes and community spaces.
Wall murals form a prominent part of the awareness effort, using art to convey the importance of clean surroundings and responsible civic behaviour. These visual messages serve as everyday reminders of the contribution each individual can make towards keeping public spaces clean.
Employees and schoolchildren took the Swachhata pledge, committing to keeping their schools, workplaces, homes and surroundings clean. Their participation reinforced cleanliness as a daily habit, with children helping carry the message from classrooms to families.
Talks on hygiene and health complemented these activities, highlighting the connection between personal hygiene, clean surroundings and community well-being. The sessions encouraged participants to adopt healthy practices in everyday life.
Connecting community engagement with sport, NTPC Bongaigaon’s “Rural Sports for Swachhata” initiative features the Rwikhathini Phaikhi Trophy–2026 held at Kanthalguri village, Kokrajhar with participation from more than 20 teams. The programme brings rural youth together through sportsmanship and teamwork while promoting collective responsibility for maintaining clean surroundings.
Through art, pledges, health awareness and rural sports, NTPC Bongaigaon is encouraging people across age groups to participate in the campaign and carry the spirit of Swachhata Hi Seva into everyday life.
