TPCODL commissions 33 kV Machipada–Odagaon feeder, strengthening power supply in Nayagarh

•           New 21 CKM feeder commissioned through Sarankul PSS to benefit around 50,000 consumers

Nayagarh, September 25, 2026: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has commissioned the 33 kV Machipada–Odagaon feeder through Sarankul Power Sub-Station (PSS), strengthening the power distribution infrastructure and improving supply reliability in the region.

The 21 CKM feeder was commissioned in the presence of Smt. Madhumita Rath, IAS, Collector and District Magistrate, Nayagarh, as part of TPCODL’s ongoing network augmentation initiatives under the Comprehensive Network Development Programme (CMPDP).

The newly commissioned feeder is expected to benefit around 50,000 consumers in the region by strengthening network capacity and supporting a more reliable and dependable power supply.

Speaking on the commissioning, Gajanan S. Kale, CEO, TPCODL, said, “The Machipada–Odagaon feeder strengthens the power infrastructure and supply reliability in Nayagarh. We appreciate the district administration’s support and will continue to work closely with local stakeholders to accelerate network development and deliver reliable power to our consumers.”

The initiative also marks TPCODL’s efforts to strengthen engagement with district administrations to facilitate critical power infrastructure projects, including support related to utility corridors and right-of-way requirements.
