Bhubaneswar, July 30: The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital-1, faculty of medical sciences of SOA Deemed to be University here, conducted a free mega health camp for lawyers in the premises of the Bhubaneswar Court here on Thursday.
Around one thousand lawyers got their health checked at the camp which was jointly organised by IMS and SUM Hospital and Bhubaneswar Bar Association Welfare Trust, Mr. Surya Narayan Das, Managing Trustee of the Trust, said.
Mr. Das, who thanked the hospital authorities for holding the camp in the court premises, said it was necessary to organize periodic health check up for lawyers who worked relentlessly while encountering mental stress.
Mr. Manas Mohapatra, Chairman of Bhubaneswar Bar Association Welfare Trust, and Mr. Suman Routray, Secretary of Bhubaneswar Bar Association, were present during the camp.
Around 30 doctors drawn from medicine, orthopedics, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, dental and dermatology departments of the hospital conducted the health check up.
