Bhubaneswar, September 17: Around 3,000 students of KIIT and KISS participated in a blood donation camp organised by the Government of Odisha on Thursday morning to mark the 76th birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined the blood donation programme and interacted with the students. He wished them success in their academic pursuits and future endeavours.
At KISS, around 40,000 students came together to celebrate the Prime Minister’s birthday. At a special function organised on the occasion, Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta lauded the welfare measures undertaken by Prime Minister Modi and appreciated his efforts towards the empowerment and development of tribal communities.
Dr Samanta said the Prime Minister had consistently championed the cause of tribal empowerment and highlighted various initiatives aimed at improving the lives and opportunities of tribal communities.
The students participated enthusiastically in the celebrations, cutting a birthday cake while wearing masks bearing the Prime Minister’s image. They wished him a long and healthy life and expressed their gratitude for the welfare initiatives undertaken for tribal communities, including programmes such as Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.
As part of the celebrations, the students also visited the Jagannath Temple located on the KISS campus and offered prayers for the Prime Minister’s long life and good health.
