Bhubaneswar, May 2: The results of the matriculation examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, were declared today. While the overall pass percentage across Odisha stands at 95.33%, the results of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) recorded a perfect 100% pass rate.
Since its inception, KISS students have consistently achieved a 100% success rate in the matriculation examination for 19 consecutive years. This year, a total of 2,031 students from the institution appeared for the exam. Among them, 50% secured more than 60% marks, while the remaining students passed in the second division with over 50% marks.
KISS student Sucheta Soren emerged as the school topper by securing the highest score of 568 marks.
Additionally, 131 students belonging to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) such as Saura, Bonda, Juanga, Khadia, Lodha, and Paudi Bhuyan also performed well this year. Out of them, 46 students passed in the first division.

It is also noteworthy that students from the neighbouring state of Jharkhand, who are studying at KISS, performed well and achieved good results in the matriculation examination this year.
Expressing his happiness over the results, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta congratulated all the successful students. He stated that these students are the first generation in their families to receive formal education. The dedication of teachers, their continuous guidance, and the tireless efforts of students have strengthened their foundation, leading to such consistent success every year.
