UAIL CSR Distributes Test Papers to 612 Class 10th Students

Tikiri : Utkal Alumina International Ltd (UAIL), a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries under the Aditya Birla Group, has once again initiated its annual test-paper distribution programme through its CSR department, aimed at promoting education and improving the academic performance of students in communities surrounding its plant site.

Under this initiative, 612 Class X students from eight schools in the vicinity of the plant have been identified to benefit from the programme. The initiative commenced today at Government High School, Tikiri, where test papers were distributed among 230 students.

Over the next two days, test papers will also be distributed among students of Government High School, Hadiguda; Government High School, Kodipari; SSD High School, Gorakhpur; SSD High School, Thutibar; SSD Girls’ High School, Dangasil; Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, Tikiri; and Panchayat High School, Kucheipadar.

The programme was attended by Ms. Lopamudra Mishra, Head – CSR; Diganta Mohanty; and Satyabhama Nayak, along with SMC President Mr. Siu Majhi, Tikiri Sarpanch Mr. Jagabandhu Majhi, and teachers of the school.

Addressing the students, Ms. Lopamudra Mishra emphasised that discipline and a sense of responsibility are essential alongside academic education. She encouraged the students to study regularly and maintain discipline in their daily lives.

Similarly, Mr. Diganta Mohanty, in his address, shared simple techniques to help students remember their lessons more effectively and make their examination preparation more productive.

School teacher Mr. Ranjit Mishra highlighted how the provision of test papers has been helping students prepare better for their Board examinations and supporting them in improving their pass percentage as well as securing higher marks. He also expressed his gratitude to the UAIL CSR programme for this educational initiative.

This initiative reflects UAIL’s continued focus on education as a key pillar of its community development efforts and its endeavour to contribute to the holistic progress of the region.
