Aditya Alumina Refinery Sponsors Apparel Training for Local Girls under Project KAUSHAL

Kashipur :-Aditya Alumina Refinery Project, a unit of Hindalco Industries Limited of the Aditya Birla Group, has reaffirmed its commitment to skill development and women empowerment by sponsoring Apparel training for local girls under its flagship initiative Project KAUSHAL.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Mazhar Beg, Unit Head & President, in the presence of local leaders, parents of the beneficiaries, and around 200 villagers, along with senior leadership including Mr. Ramesh Chandra Duvvada, Head – Construction; Mr. P. K. Padhi, Head Admin & Security; Mr. Basudev Rao Ghanta, AVP – Process & Projects; Mr. Deepak Mohanty, Head HR ,IR & CSR; Mr. Madhumalaya Dwibedy, Safety & Fire Head; and Mr. Tanmay Mohanty, Project Manager- CSR & RnR , as well as other senior refinery officials.


Under the fourth batch of Project KAUSHAL, 24 local girls, predominantly from tribal communities, have been selected for Apparel training. With this batch, the initiative has so far benefitted a total of 90 girls.
The selected candidates will undergo two years of fulltime Apparel training at ABLBL, Bhubaneswar, with complete boarding and lodging facilities, The programme aims to enhance employability by imparting industry relevant skills and handson practical exposure in the apparel sector.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mazhar Beg said that Project KAUSHAL is focused on building sustainable livelihood opportunities by equipping local youth—especially young women from tribal communities—with market-aligned skills. He added that the strong participation of parents, local leaders, and villagers reflects growing community confidence in skillbased development initiatives.


Through Project KAUSHAL, Aditya Alumina Refinery Project continues to reaffirm its commitment to community development, skill enhancement, and inclusive socioeconomic growth in the region.
